Fifth Stage
Attempt Removal With One Pad Only
- Take exactly one nail-polish remover pad. If you do not have pads, use one cotton ball or a single piece of paper towel.
- Soak it with as much remover as needed, cap the bottle, and put it safely out of reach. Keep remover ventilated and away from eyes, flame, and heat.
- That single pad is the entire allowance. Start with the fingers if you plan to wear sandals, or leave the toes untouched so the fingers receive more of the remover.

Final Stage
Live With the Flecks—or Correct Them Tomorrow
- One pad will probably leave small flecks of polish around the cuticles; that incomplete removal is the intended challenge.
- Most people may not notice the remnants, but the source admits it is not the most polished look. Repaint neatly or clean everything completely tomorrow.
- If too much color remains on the fingers, bold participants can repaint and describe the colored nails as a dare. A clear-polish version with no remover is the quieter alternative.
